executive producers Announced for documentary project

The documentary project michael caton-jones: This Broxburn Boy’s Life has announced two executive producers on board. Matthew Modine, actor and producer, and Adam Rackoff, producer and co-founder of Cinco Dedos Peliculas, have joined the project through their production company.

The Story of Michael Caton-Jones

Michael Caton-Jones is a Scottish film director, producer, and screenwriter. Born in the working-class mining village of Broxburn, near Edinburgh, he rose to become one of Scotland’s most successful directors.

Background of the Project

The documentary project michael Caton-Jones: This Broxburn Boy’s Life is a co-production between Partickular Films and Two Rivers Media. The film will explore Caton-Jones’ rise from his humble roots in the mining village of Broxburn to the dizzy heights of Hollywood, where he became one of Scotland’s most successful directors.

Additional Talent on Board

In addition to the executive producers, the documentary project has also secured the talents of Emmy award-winning composers Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly of Hart Reilly Music.

“I’m excited to have this opportunity to introduce Michael Caton-Jones’ body of work to a new audience while also reminding folks what a terrific filmmaker he is,” said Modine, who played Captain Dennis Dearborn in Caton-Jones’ second feature, Memphis Belle. “To this day, Rob Roy remains one of my favorite movies of the 1990s. The end sword fight might be the most realistic ever put to film.” – Modine’s producing partner, Adam Rackoff.

Production Plans

The documentary project is set to feature interviews with Caton-Jones and those who worked with him throughout his career, as well as never-before-seen archive material from Caton-Jones’ 40-year career. The project is also expected to include filming in New York and LA.
