Actor Arjundas has won the Best Actor Award for his portrayal of ‘Sadasiva Pandiyan’ in the movie ‘Rasavathi’, selected from 700+ movie entries at the 15th Dada Saheb Phalke film festival 2025. Here are some of the highlights of the award-winning film:

The film has gained several awards this year, including the Best sound design award at the London International Film Festival 2025. Sound engineer Tapas Nayak won the award for his work in ‘Rasavathi’ defeating nine other films from around the globe.
- Other nominees that competed with ‘Rasavathi’ for the Best Sound Design award were ‘Nobody wants to shoot a woman’, ‘Black, Queer& Done’, ‘Perfect Meal – My dear’, ‘Let’s eat together’, ‘The Chocolate Club’, ‘Culture Vs War. Apart from the Best Sound Design award, ‘Rasavathi – The Alchemist’ has gained nominations in five other categories for the 15th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2025. These categories include:

- Outstanding Actor in a Foreign Language Film
- Outstanding Actress in a Foreign Language Film
Apart from Arjun Das, who won the award earlier, the film also features actors such as Sujith Shankar, Ramya Subramanian, G.M. Sundar, Reshma Venkatesh, Sujatha and Rishikanth. The film, directed by Santhakumar, had music by SS Thaman. Interestingly, this was the third film for which Santhakumar had collaborated with SS Thaman. The critically acclaimed film had two cinematographers, Saravanan Elavarasu and Sivakumar. V J Sabu Joseph handled the film’s editing work, while Sathish Krishnan choreographed the dance for the film.
