Sean Baker is an american independent filmmaker known for his visually stunning and emotionally charged films that often explore the lives of marginalized communities.
He then created the animated series, Superjacket, which premiered on The WB and later on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. After graduating from NYU, Baker went on to work in film and television in New York. He directed several films, including 12:00 PM, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. One of his early films was the 2003 film, In the Land of Women, which starred Evan Rachel Wood and Fairuza Balk. Baker’s subsequent films included the 2007 film, The Look of Love, and the 2011 film, Starlet.
